I want to get a hold of 3 Antminer L3+s, I have looked into it a lot on reddit but I can't find a ton of specific or practical information in their subreddits.

So let me ask you guys my hot list of questions,

are there any comparable asics on the market that run scrypt UOW.

What is the best PSU to use,

How do you guys optimize which coin your workers mind does anyone automate coin switches,

What sort of electrical do you need some people have said 3 wire, but I don't think thats accurate and I am having trouble understanding the electrical requirements,

How far can you overclock the antminer L3+ what additional cooling set up did you use to achieve that.

how stable are these machines, could I put them in a basement if I kept it dusted and clean.

What are the common problems, starting antminer L3+ farms run into how did you solve it.

thanks in advance.

LOL - lot of questions that you will find hard to have answered this early.

Are you looking for the cheapest or best quality PSU to run them?  120V or 220V?

Overclocking depends on how cool you can keep the unit.

Does your basement have cool air coming in and a way for hot air to leave?

If you are out-side of China, I dont recommend to purchase Antminer L3

Imagine your Antminer get problem, you must send it to China for guarantee. This process takes about 6 months!
My friend had Antminer S9 and got problem with it, it takes 6 months to be fixed.

There are 2 basements im deciding between im almost sure that both run on 20 amp breakers,
I will have to install some sort of ventilation for the heat. both basements have Central air.

As far as PSU, I don't know what I should get the recomended is APW 3 which is 176v -264v.
I don't mind spending more on something that is worth it or less on something that is cheaper, so i guess im asking what are the good options for PSU for these miners.

I OC'd my L3 and one chip is running around 80c, I'm guessing that is their thermal limit?
Does anybody know the exact figure?

Thanks

Honestly the ventilation and heat issue really depend on how many units you are looking to run.  A basement with one miner and has central ac is fine.  Running 40 of these down there....issue.  i would stick with the bitmain psu to pair with the L3s.  If you are looking to coin switch based on profit there are multipools to do it for you i would stick to one of the better ones.

This is by far the most efficient litecoin miner on the market as of today, at least amongst the ones that a person and small-medium size enterprise can afford to buy.

My suggestion is go with the recommended power supply Bitmain sells.

If by 3 wire you mean earthing it, then it is a definite yes. I would also recommend a voltage regulator as online UPS would shoot up the cost and ROI.

Unless you are running your antminers in a proper server room, with air handling units, rack cooling and proper hot aisle stay away from overclocking.  Unless if you can somehow make sure you inject cold air in them 24/7 but then you might run into wet air being injected into your antminer which is worse. My advice don't overclock, maximize airflow as much as possible and don't bother with air conditioning.  It's a loosing battle.

They are stable. You could run them in your basement but airflow is your enemy there.  You need to find a way to move air, and move it fast.  And make sure your inlet with your outlet ventilation compensate each other. you don't want positive or negative pressure in the room.

Wattage of apw3 is not enough to support 2 antminer L3+. You will either fry the psu or won't start at all.  And you don't have enough power cables from the psu to do that in the first place.
APW5 can handle both of them but again not enough cables.  And APW5 tends to get extremely hot for some reason so I would avoid it if I were you.
Also it would cost you less to buy 2xapw3 vs 1xapw5.

Yep, they will pull anywhere between 800-900w from the wall depending on the PSU you are using. This is around 13.3-15 amps of power. 80% of a 20amp breaker is 16amps so you are good.

Helping stop scammers by giving negative trust thats visible.

80 degrees is not good.  The L3+ firmware has an option to automatically shut the unit down when it hits 80 degrees C.

Aftermarket server psus are quiet and often times have almost the same efficiency. I can grab a DPS-800 and a BB with 4 pci connectors for 30 bucks. Runs nice and quiet, powers my 2-blade S7 just fine with no bad effects.

Yes you could run more than 2 on a 20A circuit. Just make sure you don't overload the outlets. For example in the UK they can handle 13A each and in the EU 16A. I wouldn't suggest pushing its limits though as usually those cheap plastics they use they tend to melt.
Each L3+ pulls around 800W.  Divide that by your voltage in your country, 110V US, 230V EU, 240V UK and you get the Amps the machine uses. P=IxV (P=Power, Watts, I=Current, Amps, V=Voltage, Volts).
One thing to be careful though is if the room you have your electrical panel gets too hot, your breakers are thermal breakers so if the room is too hot it will cause them to trip below their rated current.
