Hello guys.

I want to start mining, but I'm having a hard time finding good AMD boards for this task(good part without stock or with very high prices). Do you have any recommendations for AMD or NVIDIA cards equivalent to at least an RX480 8GB (~ 26mh / s)?

Hug to everyone

Nvidia GPU's.  Cheesy  GTX 1060 or GTX 1070.  I personally go with the GTX 1070's.  Less playing around with BIOS flashing as well.

Good luck trying to get a return on whatever you buy, at this point id buy cheap 1060's. 1070's are $400 and will take far longer to see ROI and with the difficulty skyrocketing I would be worried about the 1070's getting paid off.

GTX 1060 don't have SLI, even then I could create a rig with up to 6 plates? About your 1070, what is the average speed your board is making and what currency have you mined with it?

Thanks for the answer

Just spun up a new mining rig yesterday with a GeForce GTX 1070 purchased off of eBay.  There's room on the motherboard for three more with no need for risers.  (Motherboard's a Biostar Z170GT7, with four 16x slots positioned so you can use all of them, so long as your case has 8 slots instead of the usual 7.)  NiceHash's benchmark returned the following:

I've picked up a bunch of Geforce 1060 6GB cards. They do really well & consume very little power.

Four seems about on par with three 1070 8 GB cards -- I have both setup types.

My options, according to the money I have and the performance of some models that I have analyzed, are as follows:

1x GTX970 $475 => 22,21 mh/s(DaggerHashimoto) | 291,61 sol/s(Equihash)
1x GTX1060 6GB $394(1 fan)/$429(2 fans) => 20,13 mh/s(DaggerHashimoto) | 281,69 sol/s(Equihash)
2x RX460 4GB $184 => 10,65 mh/s(DaggerHashimoto) | 110,00 sol/s(Equihash) x2 == 21,3 mh/s(DaggerHashimoto) | 220,00 sol/s(Equihash)

What do you think is best?

If those prices are truly in USD then there is NO WAY you are going to make a profit. I just picked up a GTX 970 for $135....

Actually I converted the currency from here to the dollar. The quote today is:  $3.29(brazilian real) for $1(dólar)
