PLS take a look at my new mining\gaming rig i want to buy...

Hello,

I'm new to building computers - DIY and i was wondering if you guys can educate me a bit and tell me if my hardware parts are compatible to each other.
I've managed to put together two sets of rigs, all according to my budget (1500$).

First rig:
CPU:
AMD Phenom II x6 1090T Black Edition  =    $180

What do you think? which one of those rigs should i buy?
Do you i need to take other hardware? can you recommend me of an alternative?
1000W power supply is enough?

Looks good id say you could even have one mining and one for gamming

Without looking through every part, my first suggestion would be to read through https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison and get a feel for price:MH/S comparisons. Your current builds would be nice miners but might be more expensive than necessary. Currently, 5830s are a great buy if you can find them. Also, try checking out http://bitminer.info/.

Of course, all that is only relevant if you're going to be mining with the rig.

I'd probably pick the top rig, because you can always expand by throwing in a second card. You can't do that on the bottom rig.

Are you using these solely for mining or as a regular PC too?

I would also go with the first one, heres why:

The 6990 card alone can do the same as the 2 6970s in terms of Mhash/s (give a few tweaks here and there). Also powering one device as apposed to w will be less heat/power consumption. You also have the option of getting another 6990 later on if you want to add into it.

My only issue with both machines are they seem a tad expensive. If they are just miners then you can probably cut down on the motherboards and CPUs - ie not get such fancy ones and save some cash.

I agree! But to tell you the truth... the only reason why i've writen the 6970 in my rig alternative specification is because i've been looking all around the internet and i cant find an "internet shop" that sell the 6990.  Apparently all 6990's are "OUT OF STOCK"...     Do you know where can i find one (or even two)?
