One of the main goals of BTC is to be the "people's money" which cannot be controlled by central beings.

But there is a fundamental problem which will prevent it to be so: it lies upon the Internet, which is something controlled by governements.
Indeed if the free economic exchange enabled by Bitcoin can in some way bother the elites (Rotschilds, Rockfeller, Soros and their friends), what prevents them to just force all ISPs in the world to block all P2P traffic associated to Bitcoin ?

Remember that the Internet is just a buch of interconnected ISPs and universities , which in turn are controlled by the governement and must obey the laws.

If we don't have the people's communication network , we can't have our money system.

I am sure that it will not be able to make even the Rothschilds. They will have to accept the existence of bitcoin. Maybe they will try to undermine the credibility of bitcoin through currency speculation. Let's see who is stronger us or the Rothschilds.

I am sure its one of the things Satoshi's must have put into consideration before  coming out with bitcoin and if its something they can do, I am sure bitcoin wouldn't be this popular at this time considering the number of years they would have been able to shut down everything as you have rightly noted.

For Bitcoin to be truly decentralized, the Internet will also have to change. But even before that, censoring P2P Bitcoin communications is much harder than it sounds

It can be done, and net neutrality laws are being eroded by some countries lately, including creating laws for tracking Internet activity and requiring websites to keep logs.

While this is worrying (and RodeoX was particularly scared about it, I recall), I see it as something that could have happened at any time.  There's a point at which that action would become so outrageous to the public that governments just can't get away with doing it, because the public uproar would be immense and would completely destroy their popularity.  Considering that the mainstream media seem to have softened up to Bitcoin somewhat recently, I see it as unnecessary for governments to try doing this, especially since they can basically track it anyway if they regulate it well enough.

All the ISPs wouldn't block blockchain at the same time and it's practically impossible. There are countries that ban domains (example, sometime ago Pakistan blocked facebook but the residents found a crack to this and could access it through VPNs). Some Government banned sites too can be accessed by Internet experts and there can't be any neutral law.

Hypothetically you could bypass the internet entirely and form your own network which could run alongside the internet yet completely outside of its control, assuming there were people who were willing to fund a project to connect everyone who wanted a blockchain network which would be "free" from the controls of the government, aside from the physical control that may be imposed.

Of course, something like that is completely impossible considering the state of the community and honestly, it is logistically improbable at best.

I thought I heard someone say if the internet went down, Bitcoin would still be around. It is just that most people would not know or have the technological capability of actually accessing and/or using it so it would become essentially pointless for that reason alone. Personally, I know quite a bit about Bitcoin, but if the internet went out aside from paper wallets I would have no idea whatsoever how to use them... so I would have to agree that gold is more valuable because at the end of the day it is more simple and things which are simpler tend to work better generally speaking.

In a way you are right but this is the best we could hope to get, even if the internet was owned by the people and no government was involved, guess what, the internet depends on an even bigger network, electricity, which is once again controlled by governments, so we must accept the fact that bitcoin could face prosecution by governments in any moment.

We don't technically need the common man's internet(government/big corporate internet).

There are plenty of viable underground options that just aren't that big yet. Many different technologies exist for broadcasting signals and data, if we need to switch we will.
