but from what iv'e heard, windows can only recognize 8 GPU's..
so how's that possible ?
well you have only 6 what is the problem? 2 amd and 4 nvidia and that motherboard can't work with more than 8 anyway, i think only the asus and the new asrock h110 pro btc can work with more than 8 gpu
im not sure if you familiar with that MB.. take a look here :
http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=884TB250-BTC PRO supporting up to 12 native PCI-e slots with 12 graphics cards
after ill receive that MB i planning to add 4-6 more 1060's
oh this is a new one, i was still thinking about the old biostar with only 6 slot, when they released this? i think it's because they don't want to remain behind after the asrock move with the 14 pcie slot
Announced about a month ago. Cryptomined has a video on the 12 slot board.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exjRTIZu89QTLDR: He used 6 AMD, 6 Nvidia, but can't get all 12 to run on claymore eth. He had to run 6 AMD on one claymore instance, 3 nvidia on another claymore instance, and the last 3 nvidia on EWBF zcash.
Being a newly released product, it's not bad. Software issues can be ironed out in the future, but it's not newbie friendly like the current 6 slot board. If 12 gpus are plug and play in the future, I will use these boards.
