How to stop pushpool service on ubuntu or install bitcoin & pusspool same server

I setup a pushpool server on my Ubuntu server. Then i try setup font end SimpleCoin, but i see simplecoin Requirements:

I try setup a bitcoin follow step by step: http://rdmsnippets.com/2013/03/12/installind-bitcoind-on-ubuntu-12-4-lts/

But after i typed bitcoind, Console Monitor show errors: "Error: An error occurred while setting up the RPC port 8332 for listening on IPv4: Address already in use".

I think port 8332 already in use by PushPool service, then i want to re-config and restart pushpool.

Pls, help me:
- How to stop pushpool, to re-config it.
I think Pushpool server same as bitcoin server, why simplecoin is requirements bitcoin and pushpool??
