What is all this ICO's using Ethereum tech?

Which coins or ICO's use the Ether platform?

So if Ether crashes then all associated ICO's and coins will crash as well?

Which coins are truly independent that do not rely on other coin tech?

Is Xtrabytes associated with Ether? If so its success entirely depends on Ether success continuing to grow?
