It appears that many ICO's are getting good initial traction at "home", where it is easier for a team to execute their marketing strategy and plant the seeds. It would be interesting to see regional distribution of ICO participants for the recent successful ones, but I doubt any reliable data can be found on that.

So here comes the question - many companies successful with their ICO's engaged several "regional community managers", many even put them up on their team page. No doubt that it cant hurt, but I wonder how important or critical is that?
