Hot news story straight in from East side.

Updates to follow...

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/japan-ends-8-consumption-tax-on-bitcoin-today/
That's a pretty impressive move for a country to do right now, to be completely honest. I wasn't expecting for them to do something that took away from taxes they would be getting, but I guess they would still be bringing in whatever sales taxes they do outside of just a consumption tax on Bitcoin.

Good to see that they're aiming to legitimize Bitcoin as a means of payment within their borders and making it more equal with their own domestic currencies.

Maybe they realized that consumption tax is just an extra tax which can also hinder the growth of Bitcoin in their country. Well there are other tax unlike this consumption tax which really is not that justifiable. This is a wise move actually. Meanwhile in US, the government is kinda tough in dealing with Bitcoin.

I just want to share a comment in the news below where a certain user said "Maybe Japanese Government is Satoshi Nakamoto," a funny comment and speculation but I am not saying it is not possible though. Overall, surely it will make Japan to advance more in terms of technology and economic prowess.

Only just seen this, happy days. Very bullish & great for Japanese bitcoiners. With the next Olympics being held in Japan I hope they're a nation that'll embrace mainstream adoption rather than hamper it.

The position of the Japanese government, which established an eight-percent tax on income from the crypto currency, should be admired. This is a good example for regulating crypto-currencies, and for stimulating their development and legal circulation within the country.
