Long-time crypto enthusiasts here. We're excited to announce the launch of "Global Pizza Day" – a new worldwide celebration that honors the Bitcoin Pizza legacy while expanding it to embrace the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem on May 22, 2025.

As many of you know, Bitcoin Pizza Day originated right here on this forum when Laszlo paid 10,000 BTC for two pizzas on May 22, 2010. This transaction has become crypto's most relatable origin story.

For the 15th anniversary in 2025, we're establishing a broader celebration – Global Pizza Day – that:

Honors the Bitcoin Pizza legacy that started it all
Welcomes all cryptocurrency communities beyond just Bitcoin
Creates a unified global celebration on a single day
Uses pizza as the universal connector to introduce crypto to newcomers

What We're Building: Pizza.Day

I also like the website. Looks really good and easy to navigate. Btw I was trying to find the sponsorship terms but it seems like it isn't ready yet. Do you have a priority list of what you plan to do in the near future? I also noticed that the press media kit is not ready, although people who want to host or promote the celebration day probably can find suitable images on their own, tbf.

Cool idea, I don't think OP has the funds to do that though. I checked the public donation address, and no donations are coming in yet.

Running a campaign like this doesn't seem feasible in my country because crypto is illegal to pay for stuff, unless we're not doing it publicly, of course. Not to mention the image of crypto is at best a mixed bag for the average joe.

In my opinion, it is a good idea, I'm in support and believe that many community members may add their support as time progress. Pizza day is worth remembering, it is forever in the heart of many community members in my opinion.
