Hello,

We are currently working with a client to extract Bitcoin Gold from multi-signature Bitcoin addresses starting with a 3. We have tried the Coinomi process but it seems that process does not accept the multi-signature addresses.

We have downloaded the bootstrap.dat file for Bitcoin Gold Core and now have the Gold Core client "Processing blocks on disk" which we expect to take some time. If anyone has already done this and can report an expected time frame that would be great.

We are wondering if anyone else has come to a better solution with a web wallet or other "light" wallet system other than Coinomi. We suspect the ecosystem is too new for this to have happened and are resigned to slogging through the Core process.

We will report our full findings including time taken to process the bootstrap file after we have completed this job.

The saga continues.

Downloaded Bitcoin Gold Core, used the following command in the debug console:

importprivkey L1SLw5C14f8KBZCfUow3h5acE_NOT_A_REAL_KEYZLMiLo3fgoDWxHjCTuzyGPcd "btg1"
[wait 45 minutes to 1 hr for a rescan]

console reports back "null" which means no errors.  The "btg1" address shows up under "receiving address"

Still no luck.  This is from a multisig BTCvaddress that starts with a 3XXX.

https://btgexplorer.com/ doesn't seem to be much help. When we put in the BTC address it give an error, when we put in the BTG address found from the BTC private key it gives an error.

The pre-mainnet explorer on BitcoinGold.org finds the coins when entering a BTC address, but not the BTG address. We believe that explorer functions as intended.

Gold Core wallet doesn't find the BTG even after the [Suspicious link removed]pletely downloaded, the import worked, and the rescan.

Anyone else having similar issues?
