i got an old ibm with a Nvidia 9500gt graphics card. can i use this to mine? i don't use the computer its just been sitting and collecting dust. can i mine with this? i've never mined before. i'm just planning on doing like mining pools and stuff. also, does anyone know how to get the cpu mining feature to work on guiminer? i've never been able to get it to work on my laptop for somereason. please note i do not plan to mine on my laptop. i intend to run guiminer to mine on my cpu while 50miner mines on my graphics card in the IBm computer i mentioned. can i do this?

First the card is an NVidia based card which are notoriously inefficient at mining anyway and secondly it is a very slow card as it is, therefore it would not be worth trying to with that hardware.

You would be wasting your time I'm afraid.

Your best bet is to use your CPU to mine YAC instead, or sell your nvidia card and upgrade to a much higher end ATI card.
