Why was the date of August 1, 2017 chosen?

Guys, I'm just wondering why they choose to activate UASF on Aug 1? Are there specific reasons for choosing this date or BIP148 is time based?

1,5 cycles of Bitcoin Core development + Summer vacation (low impact).
UASF has been introduce in March.

This may be a very good date and memorable because if other dates are hard to remember ,, that's in my opinion.
