OKEx has announced that it will stop Bitcoin transactions and trades from 31 July. This is amid the potential for a chain split which can occur during the network disruption scheduled to occur August 1. The exchange has allowed users to deposit till this date and has confirmed that it will be on standby to deal with any glitches or problems with customer transactions, taking full responsibility.

Its their call really and we can't do anything about it. The event has really created a lot of panic and they just want to make sure that everything will be ok after they allow withdrawals/deposit. Oh well, I'm really not into the splitting so I hope it will not happen and after the activation everything will be back to normal like nothing happens to the bitcoin network. Let's just wait and see then.
