I have obviously been hacked is there any recourse? Only lost about 2 ETH worth of tokens, as well as allmost 1 ETH, if nothing else that should be a capital gains loss am I right?
There are lot's of phishing site's or fake sites out there so we should really be careful since we are talking about our money or the money that we earned,
So you should really double check the site before logging in I think there is nothing more that you could do for the stolen tokens sorry mate.
They are even using these token based ICO based on the ethereum platform to do these phishing attempts.
Using emails from the support email addresses to send participants of these ico in which they take a part of to click on a link to get their tokens sent to their myetherwallets. They mention it is a requirement in order to receive the tokens correctly or they will lose them for good.
They are basically forcing you to go to the link and entering in your wallet information or even if you have autofilled enabled they are able to retrieve the information this way with out you entering in anything.
Very crafty of them to do this in order to get into these accounts to retrieve eth or these tokens given to them.
But my question is how were they able to get the database of the ico participants to email them this request to click on their phishing links in the first place?
Is there a leak in these particular icos from the very start?
