Some tokens don't display by default, you may need to add a custom token.

This is the way it works. Usually new tokens take a while to be added to the default list.

So you will have to add a custom token if not in the default list to see and use your tokens.

I can understand your problem.firsty i have also faced this problem.i know about my ether wallet first from my elder brother.he suggest me to create an account on my ether wallet for secure account.he told me this site is good for token and ethereum and it is safe.i open an account and it is my favorite account now.but token list you can't see all token.for this reason you should add custom token on your list.after add this you can find your expected token.
It is very simple and working.

You may want to check your ETH address with https://etherscan.io/. They are showing almost every token transaction.
Then if you find it in https://etherscan.io/ but not at MyEtherWallet, then you need to add the tokens manually.

What token, i mean what is the token name? First tell about the token name, then we can help you. For sending and showing token in your account you need to add custom token appropriately.when you add  custom token to your MEW than you can see your token and send them to another wallet or exchange. Tell me your token name,i will try to give you token address decimal etc.
