What do you think for the coming split on Aug 1st?
The market has already anticipated/realized the impact for the split. That's the reason for the dumping within last three weeks.
I would expect the price will rise up very quickly after Aug 1st.

I very much doubt it's this. Alphabay has also gone down - considering they took in almost $500,000 of transactions per day, they were a big part. This always happens with a market take down and I think most people are preparing, if anything for a short crash and then back to normal. You think people won't lap up cheap coins and push the price back up if it drops below a certain %?

For every seller, there's usually a buyer who will buy cheap coins off you ^_^

The situation is different with what happened in 2013. For the dumping in that year, almost all my friends sold their BTC and LTC very quickly. Now it's different, most of them do not want to sell those digital asset. They are confident with the long term future.

For your information, BIP148 (UASF) activation will not split the chain on August 1st, it will likely split it in November. The problem is, those damned Chinese want a hard fork so bad, so they are supporting SegWit2X till the end, and even if it didn't split the chain, they are going to hard fork it anyway. Even when a middle solution appeared (BIP91), it got a huge resistance in China.

They're already announcing a hard fork date of:  2017-08-01  12:20 p.m. UTC
