Title says it all. I don't know anything about programming.

Is it possible to use this space and technology to develop a coin that can be used to fund campaigns for new and interesting ideas?

If so, is there anyone out there who is interested in discussing with me some ideas?

Absolutely!

There's been a lot of talk about how coins (more commonly referred to as "tokens" outside the community) could be used in a crowdfunding way to generate investment income for start-ups and other companies, and in a way for early adopters to participate in and benefit monetarily from the success of the company (which rarely happens or is possible for the general public today).

I don't think funding for political campaigns would be any different. Why wouldn't someone be willing to invest in an ICO for a political campaign coin with the opportunity that the coins they receive for their investment could gain in value and be sold on a secondary market for greater value.

The challenging element that needs to be sorted out is how does the coin maintain value after the campaign has ended or if the campaign fails and the politician doesn't win the election. In theory they coins would eventually become worthless...unless we can figure out how the value is maintained after a winning campaign.

you bring up a great point I hadn't thought about - how do you maintain worth 'after' the election?

I heard Bret Weinstein - the Evergreen State College Teacher getting ruined over his 'racist' opposition to Day of Absence - on the Joe Rogan podcast and he literally said what I'm thinking - the big hurdle with politics is $$$. But there is so much money being made and switched around in Crypto. I can't believe there aren't more ideas in this space and I wish I knew some more like minded people to try and develop a strategy to make 1

I do not like politicians because they are all liars, what do you intend to do?

If you want, post in this section.

I also don't trust politicians, but I do not exclude that in the future can be introduced a small tax on transactions of bitcoin to the needs of the community. If it is a small percentage and highly transparent costs then why not? Maybe it will be something everyone needs, but not political, that's for sure.

there are people who have made TrumpCoin and HillaryCoin or something like that.

I am pretty sure nobody actually has endorsed a coin though. Sure you can make one if you want. They can use it if they want. I don't see what really could be done with it. maybe for buying tickets to a function and if you have 1 of those coins it is a proof of purchase??

no idea.
