I've noticed that one of my S7s will run for about 9-10 days before it just stops hashing.   The interface is fine, I can "save and apply" or even reboot it via the interface and it'll come back to life.

My question is: Is is best to plan on rebooting/cycling power to these (Antminer S7 / S9) on occasion or leave them run?

I don't have any S7's, however I have noticed that some S9's generally need a reboot every 45-60 days or so. This usually occurs with equipment that has been running for a year or so. The new S9's with the variable frequency firmware has been pretty stable, no necessary reboots that I can think of.

Except for special cases where I may have an unstable miner, I reboot mine every week. Doesn't cost much hashing power and it helps to keep the miners up and running longer. In terms of instability the S-series miners are great, I remember in the past (late 2013-15) some miners crashed every day or less.
