So a while back I had a litecoin clone made.
It was designed to have a block reward of zero.
With 100 million premined coins to one particular address.
I was going to issue the coins both to wallets and as currency (

If you go to paperwallet in the attached link you'll see the bills I was envisioning...basically just paper wallets...possibly I might do some kind of multisig when issuing the £10 so you can't spend them out of it, should allow you to verify that it exists and make copied currency easy to put on a block list.
It was going to mimic the Bristol pound...and the Colchester credit union was going to be made to exchange them for real pounds, with local shops and tourist information centre's accepting them and the local council paying bonus salaries in them. (

There are a few little bugs here and there and definitely could use some version control bug fixes and code improvements, but it works.
I need some people to come on board with the project, maybe in the UK that want to adapt the code to other cities and who are good at coding.
with just Colchester, I don't have a lot of time or resources to get it all really smooth and slick and am barely a hobby coder.
But It won't be hard to adapt what I have for other cities as well.
I sort of imagine a franchised local crypto pound that utilises the same infrastructure so we can pool resources. takes it's mining from the user's wallets and get's fee's on exchange from the local merchants.
Maybe when it takes off some value would be had in the fact that it could be exchanged for a real pound.
