I made a simple guide for and tried to dumb it down to make it a simple 1-2-3-umm 6 process.
Gear toward folks that have to mine with what they got. Even a slow cpu.

Please Check it out.

I've got it working and am getting 3 k\hs. I'm new to this but I'm guessing that that is basically nothing, right?

CPU mining LTC is pointless. CPUs have awful hash/joule ratios.

I've got it working and am getting 3 k\hs. I'm new to this but I'm guessing that that is basically nothing, right?

At current difficulty that is 0.005 LTC per day.

My name was simply a play on "Blue Engineer" from Team Fortress. I am not affiliated with Microsoft or the Azure project.

So a litecoin in 200 days. Utterly not worth it and I can't GPU mine because of the opencl.dll problem. Thanks anyway for the guide though, at least I've got some experience.

My CPU gives me 40kh/s which isn't very good but its a laptop and I'm testing out mining so its useful for me. Thanks for taking your time to make this guide ofr us.

No it is not worth it as you will be getting less than $0.02/day... unless you just want to test out mining to see how it works. Try and fix your opencl.dll problem (guides online) and then you can GPU mine.

Hey I started mining with my cpu back then. I think it's a good start to see the basics, but people really shouldn't expect anything from it these days.

I know Cpu mining will not make you a fortune.  I just made this for the people like me that have to use what you got. It would be easier to save some money and get a GPU and pump high hash rate, which I would love to do.  Thing is I have no extra money and want contribute to Crypto- Currency so I continue to mine. I use my slow hash rate side by side with BTC-E multiply what I mine with small trades that pick up 2-3 cents per transaction.

I opened my BTC-E on 4-9-2013 I had a fraction of a litecoin and its Value was ~$1, after a few hundred trades I have multiplied that fraction into a value of $13.65 in about a month. Don't get me wrong it takes some work, but it is possible to earn something from ~23kh/s. Even though its not much you still can Buy Low and Sell High on Bte-E to make a gain.

Thanks for looking at the guide. Don't be discouraged by low hash rates, it will make something-just a little slower
