I suggest you run a search for a wallet that will get your bitcash for you.

Once the fork has happened:
1. Send your Bitcoins to a different wallet address (if the other software is a scam, you'll only lose the bitcash).
2. Get the private key(s) of your bitcoin and put them into the bitcash compatible wallet - and you should then have control of your bitcash.

(if anyone else knows of a good bitcash wallet then that'd be useful - as it was deemed that "electrum cash" is a scam or is showing scammy behaviour).

Just to complete jackg's reply:

You can find all the main wallets that support BCC in this page[1]

Btw, there are reports about Electron Cash maybe having a malware build in the software. So you should be carefull if you want to try out them. I would use a VM or Sandbox to make your life safer. Of course those reports haven't been confirmed, so it could be a false positive.

Just as proof, I tested the windows binary on virustotal.com: here is the report

link: https://virustotal.com/en/file/66fc16d1d9782f32d0f73bd5cd109a3a9b89003b2eb70daa18d4205235d7f40a/analysis/1501537953/

Also, it's worth noticing that when that was first analysed on virustotal there were 3 services that detected threats and now only 1 (I'd test it on my antivirus - Norton - but it flags the regular electrum as malware as well)

I wouldn't be to confident in VirusTotal's ability to determine if something is bad or not...

Proof: https://virustotal.com/en/file/732ed6d68fd43d08f6ee63400f0be6f9150b721fe5815b975ae066cfe0b9abeb/analysis/1501553381/

That is the scan of the "electrum-2.9.0-portable.exe"!! It supposedly has 4 services that have detected threats... Roll Eyes

For the record, it was downloaded and checked for authenticity using ThomasV's PGP signature...

Btw, there are reports about Electron Cash maybe having a malware build in the software.
I've not seen any sources for these "reports"... does anyone have a link other than a virustotal scan? Huh
