So coin choose pretty much sums up what we all think of alt coins now. Meme coin (A pretty much joke coin) being most profitable whilst DevCoin made to support open source projects and the like being least profitable...

that would mean that devcoin is the one that people are mining hence the difficulty

devcoin and namecoin are merge-mined with bitcoin. Also with devcoin 90% of generation to developers/projects rather than miners (who get extra profit for free anyhow via merge mining if optimising their p&l) so I'd guess their calcs adjust for that. I don't know about any particulars with namecoin.
