So if I have bitcoin sitting on POLONIEX does that mean I will get free LUMENS? Is there anything I need to do or they will just give me some in a wallet on POLONIEX? What exactly do I need to do and what is the minimum amount?

This. And does anyone know how this worked for loaned btc (given or taken both)?

How is the personal claim method - the one that needs a Facebook account - not a giant scam to create a giant database of Facebook<->BTCaddress associations?

Stellar scammed all people holding bitcoin's on Poloniex and Kraken: they told they had an agreement with these exchanges while they hadn't.
Lots of people didn't receive their Lumens.

If you are afraid that it is a giant scam to gather these associations you are completely free not to claim your lumens.
