HOW DO I BUY BITCOINS THAT WILL BE DEPOSITED INTO MY COLD STORAGE WALLET?

Hi,
I’ve been wanting to buy bitcoins but I find it very unfriendly with companies like CoinBase where there is absolutely no one to support you. YOu can only send emails which may not be responded to.
How can I buy BitCoin directly and how/where do I create my own wallet?
It is frustrating for me, but I’m still very keen.
Can I invest in Bitcoins in very big amounts, like 100K? How to do this safely?
Much appreciate your kind advise. Can’t wait to get my first batch of Bitcoins : )
