Hello,

I am new to this Forum and the World of Crypto Coins.

Looking for any info from UK Miners and any pitfalls they have come across.

How easy has it been to exchange Mined Coins for UK Pounds.

Any recommendations on where Coins can be spent.

Thanks

Hello,

I am from the UK and new to posting on the forum, but have been a member for a few months now, since the media were all over bitcoin in March.

I cant comment on mining too much, i built my first rig in April and have been mining Litecoins since then. As i saw that as a better way in, than trying to mine BTC.
However i have placed a pre-order with one of the ASIC miner companies, desperately hoping that they can deliver before September!

With regard to buying bitcoins i bought my first few from Localbitcoins and since then have managed to almost double my investment just by trading on the exchanges. Probably more by luck than judgement!!

There is a new place to buy bitcoins from in the UK called Bittylicious, i haven't used it yet though. But will do the next time i buy, as the rates appear to be better than Localbitcoins.

I would also recommend Coindesk, this is a UK based website for news and updates. They publish some very interesting articles and seem to be at the forefront of providing bitcoin news. I often find out good news and bad news on there before it gets published elsewhere!

I hope this is of some help, i am by no means an expert but have been soaking up every bit of information i can daily since March!

Unless your going to spend alot of money on ASIC mining hw you wont need to worry about exchanging btc for money as you'll never have much btc to exchange, makes me wish i'd heard about btc back when it started Smiley

Thanks for the replies. Coindesk looks a good news site.

I also have a couple of ASIC on pre-orders , 7Gh from BFL and 400Gh KnC. So looking forward to mining with a bigger shovel.

I have a pre-order with Terrahash.. Hopefully the riskyness of it pays off! Smiley

It would be really interesting to know what percentage of users are from different countries. How many are from the UK etc?
What part of the world the majority of the users are from!
