Good Evening,

New to the world of Digital Crypto Currency from Scotland, United Kingdom.  Mainly invest in Silver & Gold Bullion but been informed this is the new craze to hit the world.

Having done some research and played about over the last week and followed this forum which has been of great help looking at insights.

Can people advise me there views on the following coins which I have actually purchased some but looking to make a rough investment of around £5000 on these coins and others.

XRP - Ripple -- What do people think of this?  (I am only looking at long term investment 6+ Months or even 12+ Months not looking to trade etc.

XEM - NEM - Same as above looking for long term investment,  Have heard good things on forums about this.

Lastly as I am new we have stored these coins in there respective wallets on my Desktop and I guess this is what everyone would recommend.

Any other recommendations would be appreciated.  We are ideally looking to invest in under £0.50P coins which have long term potential.

Thanks

Ali

Take your time to learn and understand the crypto world.

If you're not sure what to put your money into, then you shouldn't do it.

Best way to store these coins is to get a cold storage like this one since you are holding anyway: https://www.ledgerwallet.com/

There are a lot of topics on Ripple and Nem on this subforum, just search for it and take your time to read other users' comment and analysis

Coin price should not be the only priority for you, as coins like Ripple has ~ 100 billion coins which make its market cap already big even at current price

I think XRP is perfect for a 6 month bet.

The escrow lock-up happens ~ November, and from what I understand based on a quote from Miguel Vias, there's going to be some significant XRP-related developments for projects and banking adoption.  Do your own research, but XRP is where my money's at.

Hi Blackcloud,  Thanks for your reply.  I believe Rippex & Nem Wallets are Cold Storage as I am not looking to trade so hence looking to store long term?

While I know NEM & Ripple there are tons of coins but obviously there Market Cap is huge and reading the forum a lot of people are saying it's possible one for the future.

What's your personal views as was looking to purchase maybe another 5000 coins approx?  Is there a chance in the market?

Thanks

Morning Hodor7777,  Sorry as I have only looked at these coins for long term investment and as Ripple is in the top 10 coins what do you mean by lock up?

The reason why I am looking at this coin is there is a lot of corporate organisations on board and obviously I do believe that like Gold & Silver and Forex Digital Currency can be a Trillion Dollar or more industry so chances in all coins.

Thanks

NEM is very close to a major release.

Catapult. Which is a complete rework of their platform in C++ .

This makes the platform performance better and easier to integrate as it's writting in a common language.

NEM was and probably always will be good investment as they have active development. Don't know about ripple anyways, it is bit speculative cause of their agreements with banks.

For short term investment like six months I will advise you should go for ripple as ripple has proven to give return to investors over time. Though I don't know much about xem but if I will invest into xem I rather go for long term because an expert once told me that xem is going up by next year I don't know his reasons.

I think 90% of the Crypto Currency is speculative and sometime in business risks have to be made.  No Risk, No Reward and hence I think couple of thousand Ripple or even 10,000 Ripple Coins will come in handy if not in 2017 then maybe by 2019 Smiley
