hi man, am a Nigerian, and over here bitcoin sellers are putting the price of bitcoins way over what is acceptable 500 Naira for a dollar, and that means for one to be able to buy 100 dollars worth of bitcoins one has to pay 50,000 Naira just to have 0.10548634 and this is not encouraging since we are in this just to learn what bit coin is and also be viable when it is accepted in the future, so my question is this is it possible to have an arrangement with you where one transfers money to you through PayPal or which ever transfer  method that you choose so we can buy from you at the official dollar to Naira exchange… localbit coins have very greedy Nigerians with outrageous prices

Hello, i have calculated the Naira to dolls rate. If you can pay 354 naira for a dollar, we can transact. Escrow is a must.

It can be done but personally I prefer perfectmoney when it comes to irreversible transactions and safety concerns. Paypal is reversible . You can easily convert dollar to naira anywhere, even your bank or paypal should do that.

Well OP, one of the underlying problems here is that your country has perfected the art (or science) of scamming others. At this point, you should rule out PayPal as payment method. It's notoriously reversible and the risk is especially higher in countries where reversing even a small amount of money would put a week's food on the scammer's table.

For you to buy bitcoins, the first step is to look for a way to pay someone safely. Cheques (checks) will definitely not work. It takes ages to clear them and the internet is awash of stories of cleared cheques which later were discovered as fakes and the account holders were held liable for pre-cleared amounts. American banks tend to allow their customers to access funds on deposited cheques even before they clear. That's the fatal flaw exploited by scammers.

Western Union and Moneygram would be the only option, provided escrow is used to secure the transaction.
