I think much better to try to promote your faucet here in forum much more impression and related in bitcoin forum and i think it can help you also to boost your ranking in google.. also try to promote your faucet in a-ads i think you can advertise there with low deposit..

You can advertise your link to many of the bitcoinrekated sites. There is mellowads which is great solution if you want bitcoin targeted traffic. If you are not all into bitcoin advertising so,union then just create campaigns regarding your project. If it is a site or you are providing goods and services related to it then why not create a signature campaign and twitter campaign to get started with. This will get you most interested persons from this forum and you will get faster sign ups and quality traffic too. It's just a suggestion. If your project is small then you can go for faucet listing as others are saying.

personally i dont know if rotators simply just add you to their list or whatnot, but look around them and see if they offer it. also, osme of the big faucets allow users to purchase ad space for a price per impression basis, iirc freebitco.in offered it. can't speak for its efficiency or costs but it'd be worth looking in to. also, you could try browsing around the services / digital goods sections of the forum, ask around and make a post if there's no one offering that service.

However is it possible to get the genuine traffic from the bitcoin users? I don't think it is possible.if you are aware of google adwords campaign you can able to understand that will not be genuine.
 You can give advertisement in some famous faucet sites which is related to bitcoin than you can the people who uses bitcoin.
