Hi,

I have a rig in garage which has 4x6870 and pulls almost 1700~, however i had to take it up stairs because it get so hot in garage and cards are at 90C.

How can i undervolt cards to reduce the power intake and temps?

any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

I have the same cards. Set voltage in your cgminer config. This line:

"gpu-vddc" : "0.000,0.000",

Example would be: "gpu-vddc" : "1.200,1.120",

1.200 shows up as stock for me.

are they 5870's???

the default performance levels for sapphire 5830's (xtremes and non-xtremes) were 0.95, 1.063, and 1.163..

i have been running mine at 0.95v lately, @ 250-260mhash (cards vary a bit, 770-800 core)

700-130 should be "safe" setting at 0.95v (i didn't have any that failed below 740), 850-150 @ 1.063v (worst here was 910), then work up from there.. if they are like the sapphire 5830's

They're 5870s. I have seven of them in one rig mining LTC.
