This electron cash software seems suspect: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2053806.20

Are there any other Bitcoin Cash Wallets?

BCC is only a few days old. It might take a few weeks or months for decent software to be developed and bugs to be worked out.

You can always just save/write down your private keys and reclaim your BCC at a future date. In 10 years from now BCC might be worth millions and segwit(fiat)coins might be worth pennies.

Probably a very dumb newb question but..  I have BTC on an Electrum wallet since before the fork, can I go ahead & transfer the BTC to an exchange or wherever like normal & just forget about the BCC until a later date? i.e. if I transfer my BTC then Ill still have access later on to the BCC by using my private key ? Also, do i carry on using my Electrum wallet or do I need to create a new one ? Thanks for any help!

quick answer is: yes you can reach them later
proper answer: claim them now, there is nothing to wait for

use method here described, electrum works just fine, but be sure you are having electron on different computer when installing as it is copying electrum wallets to it!
and as well make sure your BTC was transfered somewhere safe before you will claim BTC

Looking for investment tip? XBY OMG and ADX, thank me later Wink

Ok, i have electrum wallet that is without bitcoin but the bcc should be there.
I have no 2 computers.

I guess i can just uninstall electrum and install electrum cash?

Thanks!

(how easy are virtual machines? It's not like a program i can just open up, or is it?)

Got my BCH now. Electroncash default server is a BTC (bitcoin) not a BCH (Bitcoin cash) server. Click on the network icon and de-select the "select server automatically" box and select a server on the BCH blockchain ( right click>Use as server) and my BCH have appeared!

Is any server good?

Argh, it shows 0 bcc

What I did:
1. Had wallet where i had bitcoin from 31st to 2nd

(exact times: put bitcoins in adress at 31.7    17:00h, put them out again at 2.8 11:00h)
(sent the bitcoin to other adress)
(sent the bitcoin away)

2. went to 'used addresses' in electrum and copy pasted private keys
There were 2

3. Uninstalled electrum cash and deleted the electrum folder in the roaming shared folder on c:

4.  Installed electrum cash

5. chose 'manual server', took electroncash.cascharia.com

6. made new standard wallet

7. 'use public or private keys'

8. put in the 2 private keys in, each one in his own line (pressed 'enter' after first)

9. Expect bcc to show up but are not there

((bitcoin wallets were 2 factor authentification, that is irrelevant is it))
[also electrum cash does not appear in my list of programs that i can uninstall]
