biostar tb250 pro cannot detect 2 or moe graphics cards?!

It seems my biostar tb250 btc pro cannot detect 2 or more graphics cards no matter which pcie slot I use. I've tried using just 2 or 3 graphcs card, the rest of the cards are completely disconnected.
graphics card: gigabyte aorus rx580 8gb
psu: seasonic x1250 gold.


Currently i have 3 graphics card installed and bios pcie lanes info says there are only 2 cards are present (_1 and _2) but windows and gpuz does not detect the 2nd card

I am using a fresh installation of windows 10 pro. I've also tried flashing the bios but the file type i got from the website ends with .bss but the bios screen tells me there is no bios file found in the thumbdrive.

Well, there can be a lot of problems - not functional USB risers, BIOS Settings, driver malfunction, or maybe motherboard is defective. Try to check for problems one by one and strike them down until you find the core issue.

there should be no issue with using the hdmi port on 1 of the graphics card right?

B25CF710.BSS is the correct File for the BIOS update. I updated mine from USB stick. make sure and use the USB2.0 ports for this and not the USB3.0 ports

Test all your risers using the PCIe 16x slot one by one. Bad risers with bad soldering spots or slightly burnt can cause major problems.
You can try one card in the PCI16x slot and one in the PCI4x slot directly into the motherboard too without risers.

Get the BIOS updated though, select Mining mode and set PCI Gen2.0
Try to disable any unecessary Com ports/Audio etc in BIOS.

Make sure your WIndows 10 is Ver 1704. Use Windows 10 update assistant if it is not. Type winver in start menu to see your Build version.
But basically process of elimination......

i spent the entire day troubleshooting and it turns out 1 slot is faulty.

after getting that problem fixed, I have a new problem: green screen of death.

2 BIOS setting to MINER model

In addition to the above, Max TOLUD might also help, on 4 GB RAM setting it to 3.5 GB is no boot with 4 cards, but Dynamic (default) detects 4 cards and 1 has not enough resources in the OS. You need either to upgrade your RAM to 8 GB or lower Max TOLUD to 3 GB.
