I have mined a bunch of SIA lately and honestly I feel like I made a mistake.
The developers don't use it for themselves and even the ASICS miners they asked for payment in BTC.
I'm holding for now but once it hits $0.01 or 0.000002 BTC I'm out.
that's the problem mate the dev itself seems not caring about the this as we continue seeing the value dropping and not support level maybe much
better to stay away for a while and wait for the dev to show back and give some updates regarding to this coin future, better to make your assessment
carefully not being trapped.

I don't really think that Sia has a bright future.

- There are already some competitors in the market (Storj, Filecoin).
- I'm not deep into the details but from what I've read is that you have to keep your computer running like >80-90% of the time to be able to get your rewards.
- Plus: There have been previous attempts to the whole concept of decentralized cloud storage (without blockchain). Bittorrent Sync (now Resilio) for example and this concept wasn't very successful.

So in the end I think that Sia won't hit the mainstream.

That's quite interesting. I think that there's a lot of competition and SIA certainly doesn't offer much more in terms of storage than an in-home drive would. Even in terms of decentralized cloud storage there are other alternatives, Sia is certainly overpriced and its rally seems to be coming to an end as bitcoin price also remains bearish lately.

I may have long held Siacoin. the reason is some speculation and TA has a lot of good things to say about Siacoin. I hope the use of Siacoin will actually be more stable so that it can add the price. Whether the coin has actual usage in the outside world will not determine success and balance.

The price of the SC is very low, and this token is for storing business. I think it may be very close to the block chain, so there should be room for improvement.

Sia is considered a Bitcoin derivative that includes specialized contract support. Sia’s settlement currency is aptly named Siacoin, and in the future a two-way peg will be implemented in order to financially connect the Bitcoin and Siacoin blockchains.

Emmm im never heard about this coin, have future of not have depends on your perspective of investment, if you really sure about the investment then it will have a future. Better see the movement of the coin is it growth up or stay without any progress. If there is no growth better you find other coin to invest like top 10 altcoin it more secure and have a future.

Despite SC is a promising project, there's way too many coins in circulation. So if you're looking for a way to make loads of money, look elsewhere

I agree with you on this because I like SiaCoin, too. With 31,396,146,174 Siacoin in circulation, it doesn't even follow the trend of the Law of Supply and Demand. there's too much available coins, therefore, there's  still too little value on this coin despite it being a good project. I am sure it will increase in value soon, but it may take some time.
