Why is Wright wearing sunglasses in a dark room?

Moore’s law feels like it has slowed down in the past 5 years.  Regardless, his claim that we will have 25 trillion times more computing power in 20 years seems like a stretch.

Wright said Bitcoin is already turing complete.  How so?  He doesn't explain.

Andreas Antanopoulos is a better speaker.

Is this entire forum this useless?

Isn't it established that Craig Wright is not Satoshi?  I wonder why OP think that he is Satoshi.  One thing to prove it, he does not need to say anything or write a very long message, he just need to sign a message using the known address of Satoshi stating his name Craig Wright, then all this things will clear up.  No argument nor debate needed if he does that.

No. Nothing of he sort has been established. He just prefers people appeal to ideas and solutions instead of appealing to authority. Now if you want to believe lies told by G maxwell and other Core members then thats your problem, your waste of time, and your probable future financial losses. Good luck.

I'm wondering also because he just need to simply transact a transfer with satoshis one million bitcoins or just anything with satoshis digital signature that will make us believe and stop that bragging and too much talking.

nah, I wouldn't listen too much of his rant. The bitcoin community already knew the potential of this, long before he started ranting about it. He was given a chance to prove himself as satoshi but unable to do it. He even said at one of his interviews that he will never ever be on the media again. But there he go.

Some of the smartest people mislead and are dishonest to move agendas forward - and simultaneously do good. think of almost any politician! They all do it.

someone who uses deceive as his method is pushing his own personal agenda and will simultaneously want to do good for himself not for others. pretty words don't justify actions. and yes that is what politics looks like, they show a happy front, all smiling and full of pretty words and then in reality they are abusing you.

I have heard what he says and things he is proposing, his vision is not only not-interesting but also it is more harmful than you think!

It's hard to trust people who dare to steal other's identity and don't even bother to give proof. He know some technical details about bitcoin and blockchain technology, but i think his ideas/vision isn't the best ideas.
I might trust him more if he didn't steal other's identity.

If a fox hire a tailor and bring a dead lion's skin to make a mask and the fox wear it and scream ! saying, Hello every one in the jungle ! I am Mr. Lion the King of the jungle ! The rats and spiders might believe in him but the monkeys will not believe in him and will make a joke saying hello Mr. Lion King ! your tail is like a fox and you are claiming to be a Lion King ? Eureka ! Eureka ! we have found a impostor Lion King with a fox tail !

Double Drs. Craig Steven Wright is a good actor. The CIA Agent Gavin Andresen and Jon Matonis has
hired him to play a role. He is a good actor. Therefore let him recites his recitation on the open stage of Bitcoin Drama. The real Satoshi Nakamoto is watching.

Whether Satoshi is back or not, I don't think it matter any longer because this project has grown beyond an individual and whether Craig is Satoshi or not its left for the major stakeholders in the industry to be the deciding factor here and which they are not even ready to do which means he still has a lot of conviction to do for them to take him serious.

but I have to admit that he does know just a 'little' about bitcoin and blockchain technology.

He's an imposter. As you say, he knows just a little about bitcoin and blockchain technology. If this guy was ever on "team satoshi" he was the guy that did the least work and was barely involved.

The way he speaks about bitcoin, particularly pre fork, is so telling. A creator of anything would speak with greater intelligence about their creation.

Craig Wright is the Donald Trump of Bitcoin. His rants and over the top posturing is done to hide a hollow center.

Ok, watched the presentation...
  • He talks about basics to a room full of well informed people
  • He doesn't even talk about Moore's law properly..."we'll have 5000 times the computational power per human." No, not per human, per device...per computer
  • "But dare to dream a greater future"...good god, this is sophmoric!
  • Even is speak is like Trump, he makes a comment that's an unfinished sentence and then stops to wait for some reaction (which doesn't come) and then picks up on some completely unrelated comment
  • He's so insecure and arrogant - "i'm a mathematician. I'm very smart. Fortunately there's people to translate what I say into English."
  • This is like one of those super amateur TEDtalk sessions...the conclusion is "dream for more computational power." What the fuck? Ok, I'm dreaming of it...now what?
  • And his slides are shit

Has anyone else seen this presentation that Craig Wright recently gave? I don't know if the guy is really Satoshi Nakamoto, but I have to admit that he does know just a 'little' about bitcoin and blockchain technology.

We can't ignore this guy forever....

Yes we can.

The community kinda came to the agreement a long while ago that this most likely isnt Satoshi. It is plainly obvious that the person who claims the identity, should be able to move some of Satoshis known coins. if the person isnt willing to do that, the claim honestly wont be accepted by us. Satoshi invented the private key; i hink he would understand the import of retaining them.

He could sign a message, even. But, its most likely some bullshit. and, some particularly dastardly bull, you dont claim another mans opus.

You don't speak for the community. There was no such agreement. Stop with your lies and accusations. You people are an embarrassment.

Craig, is it you trying to impose as your fanboys? LOL

Nevermind Graig Wright, he is a giant pile of garbage... I think he is just someone trying to be relevant, but I know for sure he is not real Satoshi Nakamoto. Cool

I don't know if the guy is really Satoshi Nakamoto, but I have to admit that he does know just a 'little' about bitcoin and blockchain technology. If nothing else, the talk is very interesting and his vision for Bitcoin is truley pretty awesome. He says that Bitcoin is much more than currency... and will one day power and handle ALL data transactions for every individual on the planet - and it will all be accessible anytime/any place via the blockchain. Pretty amazing.

Here's his Preso for those interested:

Would love to know your thoughts on this AFTER you watch the video. We can't ignore this guy forever....

Here's a really good video of Mr Ethereum himself, Vitalik Buterin weighing in on the topic at hand.  Video opens with Gavin Andresen(former leading Dev of Bitcoin) explaining why he believes Craig Wright is Satoshi.

I would never call him a brillant whatever! He's just trying to stir up some drama so that he gets some attention, but he didn't really do anything good with it and everybody just really don't believe it is him. It's just a marketing stunt, but far from being brilliant! About satoshi though, let's just stop with it. Let the man be, he has his reason for everything.

I tend to agree with this... he seems like he could be media hijacker to get his business going. So he may have used a slimy tactic to get in front of millions of eyeballs... but that doesn't mean we should ignore him. Actually means we should watch him more closely really and the thing I keep getting from people is to just ignore him. Seems fairly naive to ignore someone who disrupt things along the way.

If you took out ALL EMOTION from your Satoshi argument and ONLY looked at his ideas and knowledge in this space... what then? If he never potentially lied about Satoshi... would he get the time of day then?

I'm no fanboy... but do hate arbitrary arguments that have no basis besides 'my feelings are hurt b/c he lied'....

Love this... thank you for some more objective thinking - and for actually watching the video. We need more people like you HabBear.

I wonder if the Real Donald Trump would find this comparison offensive... hahahhaha

The procedure for proving private key ownership involves a simple standard task. Someone sends you a message, you sign it with your private key, return the signed message to the sender who is then able to verify your private key signature with your corresponding public key.

Craig Wright has avoided this self-evident, simple procedure at every request.

Ha hah! What else can prove this guy really is a scam artist?

No he just made himself a ridiculous person.

If he doesn't give a duck why in first place he claims anything knowing very well it will be quoestioned without a proof.

What is the point I come out and say I am the Jesus and I will set up a media circus where I will show it to you by some silly cooked script code. And I still don't give a duck... no, it is just ridiculous and a lie.

Think about it.

The reason is written in all over those patent applications he has manufactured Cheesy -> He's trying to steal Satoshi's legacy. It would be quite beneficial for him if people would believe him. But this is not gonna happen in this situation.

Summasummarum:
It is so easy to stop all this shit and do the damn signature thing. It doesn't take more than a minute and hes free. BUT for some cumbersome reason She doesn't do it Cheesy muahhaha

Uh oh this is sooo Funny.

Do you really believe this and do you really think that it has a bearing on anything here at the forum? This is just another person, 14th now, that is trying to manipulate the system and make a buck off of it. The big ten here and in the crypto world know where Satoshi is and speak with him on occasion and this is not the guy. Come on, why do you guys chase these things like they have a greater world meaning?
