Unable to change avatar

I am trying to change my avatar. Even though I upload the new one, the old one still appears.
How shall I solve the issue?
I have tried to leave the avatar slot empty for a while. However, when I upload a new one, the old avatar still appears!

Wait, it may takes a while, it's an forum "delay" but don't worry if the avatar shows in the Upload Avatar page then it's fine.

Btw on my side I don't see any avatar in your profile so it may take a while to show up.

Wait, it may takes a while, it's an forum "delay" but don't worry if the avatar shows in the Upload Avatar page then it's fine.

I have removed it and want to wait a bit longer before I upload the new one.
In the avatar page, always the old one appears even though the new one is correctly uploaded.
