I'll try it when I get home.
It updated my driver, but did not update the OpenCL Runtime. Said I was already up-to-date. CGMiner -n shows me as still having "OpenCL 1.2 AMD-APP <1124.2>". I deleted my .bin files, and I'm still getting the exact same 722MH/s. I think I'm getting a few more graphic glitches than what I was getting before, but nothing serious, and it seems stable.

Win8x64
Gigabyte 7970 GHz Edition
CGMiner 2.11.4
1200/1050 clocks

Me personally i don't mind it. I just reinstalled W7 over my previous W8. Dunno if it was that or the new drivers.

I just updated my drivers to 13.4, and CGMiner can't compile some of the .cl kernels into .bin files. Specifically: poclbm, phatk, and diakgcn all work, but diablo and scrypt do not. Program just crashes with no error message, but with -D -T --verbose, it is during the kernel compile portion.

Gigabyte 7970
Win8x64
13.4 drivers
OpenCL 1.2 <1124.4>
CGMiner 3.0.1

Doesn't affect me much, as poclbm gives me the best results, but I figured I'd let you know.

Dreams of cyprto solving everything is slowly slipping away...Replaced by scams/hacks Sad

13.4 caused my BFGminer to immediately crash upon startup regardless of which version I used, and the problem to persist even if I tried to reinstall 13.1. As it turns out, it corrupts the OpenCL, and forced me
to find a pretty cumbersome solution to the problem.

The new drivers work well for me.  If you don't game and you current drivers are working then there isn't really any reason for you to update them.  One thing that can occur with any AMD driver update is the corruption of the OpenCL kernel as some other users are reporting. This has happened to me too but a quick Google search was all it took to figure out how to fix it.

I agree!  I tried 13.1 and 13.4 last night; both introduced all kinds of problems/weirdness in my setup.  The most stable combination for me has been cgminer 3.1.1 + Catalyst 12.8.

EDIT:

Fixed. I am leaving this here for those who end up having my issue.

-Uninstall all ATI software.
-Restart.
-Create a batch file with the following and run it:

@C:
@cd C:\Windows\System32
del SlotMaximizerAg.dll
del SlotMaximizerBe.dll
del amdocl64.dll
del OpenCL.dll
del OpenVideo64.dll
del OVDecode64.dll
@Cd C:\Windows\SysWOW64
del SlotMaximizerAg.dll
Del SlotMaximizerBe.dll
del amdocl.dll
del OpenCL.dll
del OpenVideo.dll
del OVDecode.dll
@rmdir C:\ProgramData\AMD\KDB /S /Q

-Reinstall ATI 13.1 drivers.

Does this fix work for cgminer as well?  I had the same exact issue when I tried upgrading/switching drivers.  I'm guessing that the answer is yes, since BFGminer is built from cgminer code?

I owe my soul to the company store.
