I have been a member of these forums for a couple of years now and I want you all to know that there are a core troop of well meaning individuals in these forums.  Our fearless leader, theymos, is your new king and you will do as he says.  I am not a king nor a prince or any kind of admin but I did want to say something to all you noobs entering our community.

please be respectful.
please learn to read BEFORE you post.

it is becoming more and more difficult as the site grows larger and larger to actually find and consume valuable content because our newer members may not have the patience they should.  In this world of "what I have to say is important" I can almost assure that what you have to say Is Not important.  That said, please learn to DELETE your posts.

I have removed hundreds of my own posts from these forums because, frankly, what I have to say is not important in many instances.  Adding my own personal nonsense to threads and quoting previous posters is highly frowned upon in these forums.  I'm guessing we could say the same about you.

Please do not be a jackass and come here with hundreds of posts in your first week.  This website resource is valuable, please do not trash it with nonsense.

let me repeat:
It is highly likely that nobody cares what you have to say and your clutter is likely to make it more difficult for people to find the useful information they came to find.  Please learn to listen and please add something to the conversation ONLY if you can actually add something useful to the conversation.

Thank you,

Viceroy

I honestly don't know what to say here. Yes, it's true that most of a user's first posts are worthless, but maybe they aren't worthless to other newbies? However, in many ways I agree. So, I really don't know.

Is this post worthless? Probably, but I suppose I'm really just subconsciously trying to bump this thread while trying to actually appear to be saying something.
