Why are so many selling their mining rigs ?

Litecoin is still plenty profitable to mine so I don't know why they are selling their rigs.

A 7970 can get you around 1.3LTC a day which is around $4.

In my opinion selling your rig to get an asic now is a horrible idea. It's probably too late to buy and asic and maintain profitability.

Surely due to the increased demand for mining rigs, that you can sell them for profit and then build another that's tweaked more for other cryto-currencies (or power/heat/noise management)?
