Hi,

My friend's account - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=170901
lequid

get message after login:

"Sorry lequid, you are banned from using this forum!
Your account is locked because it sat inactive for years after the password hashes were leaked in 2015, and was therefore at high risk of being hacked. Email react-vdnp8@theymos.e4ward.com to get it unlocked."

He sent email to that email but did not get any answer.
He is using the same email: lequid@m***.*u
He doesn't have any pgp or bitcoin address attached to his account to prove the ownership as per instruction: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0
Is it possible to restore this account?
Thanks in advance.

Antana

Why are you bothering with your friend's account, can't he do it himself? It's a 1 post account, not worth bothering with.

Read the sticky:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

first of all he doesn't want to loose this old account.
secondly he cannot login to send any messages to admins as I describe above, he asked me.
moreover he did not get response from that email.
He cannot prove that it his account anyhow besides his email.

That is why I've created this topic here seeking for help.

1 post account, had no interest from way back then and now is concerned? It's not like he can make 3-4 posts and have a Legendary account.
secondly he cannot login to send any messages to admins as I describe above, he asked me.
He can create a new account for himself to inquire? Roll Eyes
moreover he did not get response from that email. See above.
He cannot prove that it his account anyhow besides his email. You didn't read the link, did you? Without hard proof, you/him are wasting your time.

If he cannot sign an old address, he will not get his account back.

It has one post.  Tell him to live with it.

or he needs to create a new email just to create a new account here?
