Coin control in blockchain wallet

I am trying to consolidate my outputs to avoid fees, but I can't figure out how to use coin control with my blockchain.info wallet.  Is this even possible?  If not, how can I consolidate my outputs?

I thought coin control allowed me to select which inputs from a single address were to make up the output I want to send.  Is this wrong?  When I use custom in blockchain I can only select the addresses I want to send to and the amounts I want to send.  If I click review payment and then show advanced I am able to see the inputs, but am not able to select which specific inputs I want to make up the transaction.

blockchain.info provides address control via their "Custom" interface, but I'm pretty sure that Coin Control is not provided by blockchain.info.

The only good way to consolidate your outputs at blockchain.info is to make sure they don't get too fragmented in the first place.  This can generally be accomplished by avoiding activities (such as "free bitcoin" websites and SatoshiDice) that send you less than 0.01 BTC.  In addition you can send your entire balance to an address you control on a regular basis.

Once your wallet if filled with many tiny outputs, you'll either be stuck paying the fees, or you'll have to import your wallet into some other software that provides coin control, or you'll have to get your private keys and unspent outputs and create raw transactions.

Thanks for your help.  I was thinking of importing my wallet to bitcoin-qt.  Should I use a different program?  It seems that to import my wallet I have to know my private keys, but I only have the backup wallet.aes.json file.  I have found the mywallet.py tool, but am unsure how to use it to get my private keys.  Is this the best way to get the keys?

Bitcoin-Qt does not have coin control, so if you are looking for coin control, you'll need to use a different wallet.

If you want your private keys from blockchain.info, I believe you can find them in the "Import/Export" section under "Export Unencrypted".  Then just choose "Bitcoin-Qt format" in the "SELECT PRIVATE KEY FORMAT" selection box.

I was following the steps laid out here to import my wallet:

When I try to unlock my wallet I received the following:

Error: running with an unencrypted wallet, but walletpassphrase was called. (code -15)

Does this mean my wallet is not encrypted and thus not locked?  It is just a normal blockchain.info wallet.

You are running walletpassphrase on a blockchain.info wallet? or on Bitcoin-Qt?

I am trying to import my blockchain wallet in to bitcoin-qt.  I enter the walletpassphrase command in the debug window under the console tab in the bitcoin-qt client.  This is my first time importing a wallet and I am just following the directions on the page whose link I posted earlier.

If you have never yet run the "Encrypt wallet" function in the "Settings" menu of your Bitcoin-Qt wallet, then your Bitcoin-Qt wallet is not yet encrypted.

On the other hand, if you have never yet run the "Encrypt wallet" function in the "Settings" menu of your Bitcoin-Qt wallet, then where did you get the password that you are attempting to use to decrypt the wallet that you've never yet encrypted?

I misunderstood the instructions and believed the walletpassphrase command was to decrypt my blockchain wallet to enable it to be imported.  I now understand and have successfully imported my wallet.  Thank you to all that helped.
