Hi Fellow miners,

I have a questions about setting up the backup internet when the main internet stops for some reasons.

Last week, my cable internet suddenly stopped and it took for more than four days to recover. It happened the day before thanksgiving so no technicians want to come to fix.... Fortunately I could share the internet for my neighbor via a long Ethernet cable quickly enough, so there are not much lost that I made. Before I had never thought about the situation, but the accidents can happen and the main internet can stop anytime.

Now I'm researching the way to have the back up internet which can fail over when the main internet stops.

It seems like that I need to have a router with dual connection inputs and secondary internet connection- I think I will go with cheep wireless.

Any good makers or models of router that you recommend?  Do you use a usb model or cellphone somehow.

I have a small mining operation of 12 s9s.

Thanks in advance.

Not a bad idea.  My coworker got a 4G device that was about 3"x3" and linked to his Verizon account.  He used it for mobile Wi-Fi, but you could swap one in for your cable modem if the main internet went down.
