there are projects that only bear the name of "crypto currency". you can find hundreds of them in the altcoin announcement board if that is what you are really looking for.

but also there should be some projects that are in fact, crypto currencies. these are rare and usually they are unnoticed. and sometimes even with very low prices and small market caps.

but in the end nothing is nearly as close to bitcoin because none of them have any real adoption as a cryptocurrency but they are only used as a trading tool

There are lots of coins aside from Bitcoin, the most near value or secondary to bitcoin value in talking of by ranks was Ethereum. You could review this link for your referrence https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/views/all/ . The ethereum was in second but i doubt that it will surpass the value of bitcoin.

I can say lisk is rising this past few days. If your not familiar. Lisk is a crypto-currency and decentralized application platform. As a crypto-currency, much like Bitcoin and other alternatives, it provides a decentralized payment system and digital money network. The network itself, operates using a highly efficient Delegated-Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) consensus model, that is secured by 101 democratically elected delegates. The Lisk decentralized application platform, it's most powerful component, allows the deployment, distribution and monetisation of decentralized applications and custom blockchains (sidechains) onto the Lisk blockchain. The inflation rate is 5 LISK per block, which gets lowered by 1 every year until it reaches a stable block reward of 1 LISK per block.
