I have the latest drivers installed, I am running windows XP SP3, and I have downloaded and installed AMD APP SDK 2.8. I have searched for solutions and nothing in this forum or others apply to my situation. Any ideas? Is it possible that since I previously had an Nvidia card that the drivers/CUDA toolkit are interfering with the OpenCL?

I've just gone through this with a 7950, it will not work if it is like my cousin's card. Basically AMD didn't support the card in the early xp drivers that have the sdk for opencl and in the later drivers that support the card in xp properly there is no opencl (supposedly) because they deemed it not worth their time to deal with....sorry I know it doesn't help. You MAY be in a different boat with your 7770.  Try googling "AMD opencl sdk download" and you might find some combination that will work for you.  We had no luck here, only got another version that works on the cpu installed lol.

Success! Windows 7 is indeed the solution, mining at 205 Mh/s. Thanks again.
