During the Bitcoin 2013 conference there was some talk about the Bitcoin foundation hiring lobbyists to discuss policy and regulation.

I was wondering if anyone has any more information on this or if this is true.

If it is, I hope that any discussions by the foundation and even any guidance or policy drafting is as open as possible. Perhaps use Github Pages itself to do any of the discussions.

Even the white house (at-lease for a change is purporting) to do this in an open way.

Any thoughts?
