If you have visited the link in legitnick's "giveaway", it's actually a Java drive by! The executable also contains viruses.

If you have ran the executable, download Microsoft Security Essentials (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download - free download, good quality AV) and then change your passwords on all of your sites. To be secure, you'd want to format your computer.

Thanks for the warning, anyway i don't have Java installed on my system and by default javascript is disabled for every site so i think that i'm safe for now Tongue

Windows ships with java by default - unless you have already manually removed it.

Open a command prompt and type:

java -version

Then you'll know if you have java. Also, disabling javascript would not have protected against this attack. The attacker was using a java applet - and if you click 'Allow' you have given the attacker full access to download and run any file he want's on your machine.

Actually, you are correct it doesn't ship with windows - but some vendors do pre-install java (like on my dell).
