Blockchain adoption

I am writing an academic project on adoption of technology with blockchain as primary focus. I am using complex mathematical models to try and estimate the adoption curves using prior technological adoptions (such as the internet) as a reference, since datapoints for blockchain are not that many yet.
If you have ever read or seen any interesting articles or data suggesting something about adoption curves of blockchain (or bitcoin, even though I know it is not the same!), I would be very happy if you could pass a link.
I have searched pretty much everything myself prior to this post, but maybe some of you have found something that I have not!

Anything involving keywords innovation, invention, s curve should yield decent results and better information than I could provide..

BTW I wouldn't have a clue what the "S Curve" was if another poster on this forum hadn't written about it previously. Can't take credit for this one, but if you ever get the feeling its not worth it to type out a decent, informed, response just know that sometimes there actually are people reading who might learn something and gain from your knowledge.
