To encourage bounty participants to help reporting bounty cheaters (especially signature and translation) it could be a great move to reserve up to 2 or 3 percent of the total bounty allocation for users reporting cheaters and reward them with bounty stakes reserved for this.

Positive aspects could be:

  • Spotting more bounty cheaters if more people are engaged to report them
  • Reward cheater reporters for their investigative work
  • Less work for bounty managers, especially if these cheaters get red trust and can’t participate in future bounties
  • More stakes for participants following the rules if cheaters get disqualified
  • Reducing spam in the forum caused by alt-accounts participating in signature campaigns
  • Discourage cheaters to continue their habit because it's more likely they get spotted now

I you are a bounty manager and see my suggestion I would be happy if you share a few words and maybe consider to implement it.  Smiley

I know it would be difficult to convince every bounty manager to implement it in their bounties, especially the fact it’s no direct marketing for the project. But I’m sure the good bounty managers appreciate my suggestion, finally it’s about improving the forum in general. We all know the bounties are very controversial for causing spam and it would be great if we have an improvement there.

Red trust has lost it's meaning, we already have several bounties accepting forum members with red trust. what you are suggesting is what bounty managers should do, if they are not doing their job, simply fire them.

That's another problem, all the cheaters are accepted in another bounty and continue shitposting...

The solution would be, that no manager accepts accounts with red trust. I know this is impossible, the same as every manager should care about spotting cheaters. But impossible means not we are doing nothing, it's about improving the situation as good as we can.

The problem is that the managers don't care. Any kind of advertising is good when the payment token is worth shit.

Either require them to pay only with BTC or only allow a limited number of trusted managers who actually moderate their campaign and hate spam. Until then, no solution will work since most of the ICOs just want the most number of participants (spammers or not).

Some say cheating is the way of life.  I agree not with the forementioned statement.  Humans are above animals so our morals are on a higher ground.  We set an example for lower life forms to live by.  Gone are the days of primitive behaviour.  These are the modern times of enlightment and achievement.  There is an old saying from the old book, " A cheater is a thornbush eater"  Only those with the upmost deeds and morals can enter the higher level after time has gone.

Red trust prevents bounty hunters from participating in signature and translation works and other types of moderation where other users can see their trust. But I doubt that the majority of bounty managers pay attention to trust when picking candidates for social media tasks because follower counts is what determines the stakes in those campaigns.

It's already mention in the bounty threads that users with red trust won't be able to join in the campaign.

As I said in another topic, this is a good idea but can be used from cheaters to create fake accounts and reported them to get an advantage!

I think it may actually work, i mean in principle if the reward given to the person reporting the cheaters is lower than the reward all the cheaters reported would get, would not be convenient create fake cheaters.

All red trust members are not scammers are cheaters, the red trust were given based on the opinion of single or some DT members but some managers are giving exception for accepting the red trust managers by reviewing the reason for their red trust.

I really agree with your suggestion, and I always do in every bounty program that I follow, although rarely responded by bounty manager.
but for me it is very difficult to apply reward giving to user reporting cheating because thats will cause a new problem, people will think to create fake account and deliberately cheat then he report using main account to get paid, so I think it is not effective
