I think, that if you delete a post, it will also modify your post count..

That means, that his post have probably been deleted. Most likely by an mod, due to his threads have been moved to the trashcan.

If he would have deleted them himself, his post count would have gone down.

So at a guess he got out of newbie jail as quickly as possible by spamming crap 5 times, which were later deleted, then attempts to sell this as soon as he can.

Seems that if newbie spam posts being deleted by mods doesn't actually reduce post count then there's NO incentive to at least try and be useful in newbie jail. Great.
