What are some Tokens that are ACTUALLY needed to drive network effects?

I see so many tokens out there now, too many to keep track of. I am trying to get a list of some tokens that have intrinsic value and are actually needed within the crypto systems they are designed for, rather than just a token jammed into a use case for a funding mechanism.
