They can't control bitcoin's dramatic growth because it is decentralized and it means that no one and there is no government or even organization that can control the growth of bitcoin. Bitcoin is created for everybody and there is no chance for a corrupt people to use bitcoin as a tool because bitcoin means freedom.

I don't think Bitcoin growth can be controlled. Bitcoin is fully decentralized payment system and is characterized by big volatility moves in Bitcoin price. As a payment system is better than many other conventional payment systems like bank transfers as when you pay in bitcoin you have much better privacy and your name is not shown up like it is in bank transfers. Therefore I believe no one ever will be able to control bitcoin as long as bitcoin will have a very big user base.
